VPS Group announces new Chief Executive Officer 22

VPS Group (“VPS”), the UK mar­ket leader in the pro­tec­tion of peo­ple, prop­er­ty and assets on a tem­po­rary and emer­gency basis, today announces that Lee New­man has been appoint­ed as the Company’s new Group Chief Exec­u­tive Offi­cer (CEO). Lee is replac­ing David Tay­lor-Smith, who is tak­ing up the role of Group CEO at PHS Group, a lead­ing provider of work­place ser­vices. David will remain as an advi­sor to the VPS Board.

Lee has held a num­ber of senior lead­er­ship posi­tions in large ser­vices com­pa­nies. Most recent­ly, hold­ing the role of CEO of Elliott Group, the UK’s lead­ing provider re-locat­able build­ings. Before that, Lee was Man­ag­ing Direc­tor at FTSE100-list­ed Fer­gu­son (then Wolse­ley), where he ran the largest dis­tri­b­u­tion busi­ness in the heat­ing and cool­ing prod­ucts indus­try. Pri­or to this, Lee was UK Man­ag­ing Direc­tor and then Group Oper­a­tions Direc­tor at HSS Hire, the UK & Ireland’s nation­al sup­pli­er of equip­ment and tool hire.

Lee New­man said: I am look­ing for­ward to join­ing VPS as Group CEO. David and the man­age­ment teams have done a great job in posi­tion­ing the busi­ness for growth and I am excit­ed about con­tin­u­ing its development.”

Lee will join VPS on 12th March 2018
