Confirmation of Key Worker Status

Darron Cavanagh Chief Operating Officer

Service Certainty for our Customers

Firstly I hope you are all staying safe during these unprecedent times and following the government guidelines to help our nation deal with the COVID-19 influx; we are focused on putting our colleagues safety ahead of everything that we do whilst continuing to work tirelessly in supporting our customers to protect their people, property and assets. Following today’s announcement from the government we confirm that our industry has been recognised as holding Key Worker status for the delivery of security services. Key Worker status provides assurance of uninterrupted service delivery for our customers over the coming weeks and months.

A full statement from the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) on Key Worker status can be read her: https://www.bsia.co.uk/key-workers

The following definition of Key Worker status is included within the statement:

“Roles essential to supporting law and order, with the potential to reduce demand on policing, also meet the critical worker definition. This would include, amongst other areas, the guarding of empty or closed commercial, retail or office premises; the monitoring of similar through CCTV or other remote means; and the provision of alarm response centres including mobile units.”

The health, safety and wellbeing of our dedicated operational personnel is of paramount importance to us, and as such we have amended our delivery methodology to ensure safe distancing is observed, issued an enhanced range of PPE to include masks and gloves, and provided cleaning products for hands, vehicles and depot locations. We continue to review operational procedure and best practice guidelines to continue to keep our personnel as safe as we can.

Our central support functions continue to operate at full capacity with customer and contract support being delivered as ‘business as usual’, supporting customers and colleagues in the continuation of services
