First­ly I hope you are all stay­ing safe dur­ing these unprece­dent times and fol­low­ing the gov­ern­ment guide­lines to help our nation deal with the COVID-19 influx; we are focused on putting our col­leagues safe­ty ahead of every­thing that we do whilst con­tin­u­ing to work tire­less­ly in sup­port­ing our cus­tomers to pro­tect their peo­ple, prop­er­ty and assets. Fol­low­ing today’s announce­ment from the gov­ern­ment we con­firm that our indus­try has been recog­nised as hold­ing Key Work­er sta­tus for the deliv­ery of secu­ri­ty ser­vices. Key Work­er sta­tus pro­vides assur­ance of unin­ter­rupt­ed ser­vice deliv­ery for our cus­tomers over the com­ing weeks and months.

The fol­low­ing def­i­n­i­tion of Key Work­er sta­tus is includ­ed with­in the statement:

Roles essen­tial to sup­port­ing law and order, with the poten­tial to reduce demand on polic­ing, also meet the crit­i­cal work­er def­i­n­i­tion. This would include, amongst oth­er areas, the guard­ing of emp­ty or closed com­mer­cial, retail or office premis­es; the mon­i­tor­ing of sim­i­lar through CCTV or oth­er remote means; and the pro­vi­sion of alarm response cen­tres includ­ing mobile units.”

The health, safe­ty and well­be­ing of our ded­i­cat­ed oper­a­tional per­son­nel is of para­mount impor­tance to us, and as such we have amend­ed our deliv­ery method­ol­o­gy to ensure safe dis­tanc­ing is observed, issued an enhanced range of PPE to include masks and gloves, and pro­vid­ed clean­ing prod­ucts for hands, vehi­cles and depot loca­tions. We con­tin­ue to review oper­a­tional pro­ce­dure and best prac­tice guide­lines to con­tin­ue to keep our per­son­nel as safe as we can.

Our cen­tral sup­port func­tions con­tin­ue to oper­ate at full capac­i­ty with cus­tomer and con­tract sup­port being deliv­ered as busi­ness as usu­al’, sup­port­ing cus­tomers and col­leagues in the con­tin­u­a­tion of services
