Employee Communications Manager

Location: Home Based or Holborn Office , London

This is an exciting opportunity to join our organisation as we go through a period of change and development, with effective communication, via all types of media, to all our staff in the UK and Europe being at the heart of these changes.

We are looking for an Employee Communications Manager to partner with our CEO & Group/UK HRD along with UK/Ireland & Group Functional Heads and European MD’s, to design and deliver a value adding Employee Communication & Engagement Strategy, that ensures employees are well informed and engaged with the business, delivers mechanisms that provide effective two way dialogue and feedback to the business, and wins the hearts and minds of our employees.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

  • Responsible for all internal employee communications in relation to VPS UK/Ireland and Europe

  • Manage weekly/monthly and annual communication calendar and communication cycle

  • Develop Internal Communications Strategy and introduce effective methods of delivery, that embrace all types of media, face to face, written, social and digital methods of delivery

  • Take ownership of Company Intranet and regular updates

  • Support Group HRD in development of effective Employee Consultation Forums in line with any legislative requirements

  • Implement and roll out Employee Survey and subsequent Action Plans. Monitor and report back on progress. Organise follow up focus group activity

  • Co-ordinate VPS Roadshows on a regular basis

  • Develop Employee Engagement Strategy

  • Support the roll out Company Benefits to aid employee engagement agenda

  • Support in the roll out of VPS re-branding

  • Working with HRPS’ and L&D to coach, mentor and guide Managers on Employee engagement, performance and opportunities for top talent

  • Support the business in roll out of Strategy & KPIs

  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory employment requirements and practices across the UK and Europe in relation to consultation

Essential qualifications and experience

  • Communications & Employee Engagement experience

  • Previous experience in Communications Manager role or similar PR role

  • Previous experience in delivering Organisational Effectiveness Strategies and best practice employee communications & engagement.

  • Ideally, prior experience in the rental, security or facilities management sector

  • Strong influencer with effective communication skills

  • Solution solving skills

  • Strong influencing skills

This post is Part -ime either based from home with a need to attend the Holborn offices on a fairly regular basis or based at our Holborn Office.
